Yas American Academy is a US Curriculum school for students from Kindergarten to Grade 12, located in the Yas Island of Abu Dhabi. Yas American Academy has state-of-the-art facilities which include a 400 seat auditorium, research laboratory, well-equipped music, drama and art facilities, music recording studio, graphic design area, and recital hall. Sports facilities at the school include a dance studio, a multi-purpose sports hall, two large swimming pool, basketball courts, and netball courts, soft play areas, separate play areas for each school stage and two Astroturf playing fields. Students are provided with extensive learning resources and a well-equipped library, seminar room and video conferencing suites.

The Kindergarten section includes KG1 and KG2. Subjects include Arabic, mathematics, English Language Arts, science, health and physical education, social studies, and creative arts. The annual curriculum in kindergarten is taught through six inquiry units, 2 per each term.

The annual curricula for Grade 1 to 5 are also taught through six inquiry units, 2 per each term. Students connect with the world through the different topics of physics, social sciences, history, literacy, Arabic, Numeracy, arts, and physical education.

Middle School Students from Grade 6 study elective subjects in addition to core academics. Core subjects for Middle School and High School are Arabic, Islamic studies (for Muslim students), Mathematics, English Language Arts, Science, Social Studies, Health, Physical Education, ICT, and Fine Arts.

The elective subjects are business education, information technology, pre-Calculus, electronics, economics, United States history, and computer coding.

High School students from Grade 9 to 12 follow Advanced Placement (AP) courses at West Yas Academy. At the end of grade 12 students receive a Diploma from Aldar Academies  Yas American Academy.
