The American based school emphasizes Science, Maths, Engineering, Arts, and Technology (STEAM) across its curriculum. The team of teachers at VIPS are native English speakers from America, UK, Ireland, and Canada who works closely and collaboratively with each student in a supportive environment to bring discovery and fun to the classroom and to develop a love for learning in children. The teachers monitor student assessments and provide them with appropriate support that fosters positive learning outcomes. The responsive classrooms contribute to building positive relations between students and teachers.

VIPS provides a safe, supportive and respectful learning environment for its children. Students are encouraged to actively take part in extracurricular activities including sports, drama, art, karate, and ballet, which enhance the overall development of children.

Every classroom has Promethean boards and students have access to online learning material that enhances learning. The IT environment supports high-level academic program delivery at VIPS. The school has state-of-the-art facilities including a well-resourced library, music rooms, art rooms, gym, a spacious indoor PE room, two shaded playgrounds specifically for KG1 and KG2 age groups.

Teachers at Kindergarten are trained to early childhood development. The best way to learn language, art, music, science, and math, is for children to engage in enjoyable and stimulating activities. Elementary Curriculum (Grade 1 to Grade 5) mainly focuses on the core subjects Science, Art, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEAM). The school cultivates and builds a love for learning, deepens children’s understanding, instills good habits, and helps them develop the necessary skills required for the next stages in life. The integrated activities are well aligned with the US Common Core State Standards (CCSS) for the Mathematics and the English Language and Arts (ELA). Secondary school at VIPS, enhance the students’ self-esteem, personal and academic development. Teachers who work as a team integrates different subjects together the steam is integrated into the curriculum.

Admission to the Virginia International School is based on seat vacancy and an informal assessment of the child. To begin with, complete and sign the application form. Submit the necessary documents which are the following.

(1) Copy of both parents’ passports with UAE residence for non-Emirati parents.

(2) Copy of child’s passport with UAE residence for non-Emirati students.

(3) Copy of immunization records for your child.

(4) Copy of child’s UAE ID, both sides, or a copy of the application for the UAE ID.

(5) Copy of the birth certificate of the child or any document meant to act as a birth certificate.

(6) All students other than KG1 must bring the previous marks report if transfer from other countries and previous marks report with the UAE ID if they are transferred from another school inside the country.

(7) Two recent color pictures for your child measuring 4 X 6 cm.

The birth certificate does not have to be attested if the child’s birth certificate was issued from the UAE, Canada, USA, Western Europe, Australia or New Zealand. All other nationalities must have the birth certificate attested by the UAE Ministry of Health, UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the UAE Embassy of the country that issued the birth certificate.

A Copy of the transfer certificate and report card shall also be needed if your child is coming from another school.

The School will record the date and time for each parent submitting registration forms and documents as a means of creating the placement for children.
