History

The Royal Academy (TRAC), one of the oldest and leading academic institutions in the Emirate of Ajman is located close to Sharjah and Umm Al Quwain. It was founded and is managed by The Lazar Group (TLG), a group that has been rendering quality education in the Northern Emirates of The United Arab Emirates since 1985. The Royal Academy is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, India and is recognized by the Ministry of Education, UAE. The school follows the prestigious Indian CBSE Curriculum from KG to Grade 12.

One of the strongest features of the institution is that it has gained acceptance in society for its international standards of education, at an extremely economical price. Qualified, well experienced, and dedicated staff are the strength of the campus, in imparting wholesome education to the students under their care. Spread over an area of 2 acres, the campus is a bustling, passionate and steadfast place where independent thinking is encouraged, and excellence is nurtured. The school justifies the appellation, ‘The 1st Eco Green School’ in Ajman, Sharjah, Umm Al Quwain. It has an ambience which instills the love for nature. The students are empowered to participate in and initiate meaningful environmental activities and projects, instilling in them a love of nature, as well as a sense of responsibility. Curriculum

The Royal Academy School offers what is typically known as the CBSE curriculum, an academic process that is designed and developed by the NCERT, India (National Council of Educational Research and Training, New Delhi). CBSE curriculum schools in Ajman are affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi, India.

The school prepares students for the All-India Secondary School Examination (at the end of Grade 10) and the All-India Senior School Certificate Examination (at the end of Grade 12). These examinations are conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi, India.

The medium of instruction is English. Arabic and Islamic Studies are taught in keeping with the MOE regulations of the U.A.E.

To cater to the needs of native language speakers, which make up a wide spectrum of our student community, the school offers a choice of 6 different second languages: Hindi / French / Bangla / Urdu / Malayalam / Tamil. A choice of any one of these languages, enables the students to feel comfortable in this curriculum.

Grading System:

The Royal Academy welcomes students aged 4 to 18, covering Kindergarten to Grade 12. The school structure is as follows:

2. Primary Stage (Grades 1-5):

3. Middle Stage (Grades 6-8):

   • Middle Years Programme (MYP): Students study eight distinct courses, participating in various academic and extracurricular activities to develop competitive skills in a collaborative environment.
   • Subjects: Arabic, Moral Science, UAE Social Studies, General Knowledge, Physical Education, Science, ICT, a second language, Mathematics, Moral Education, Health Education, Social Studies, Art, and English.

4. Secondary Stage (Grades 9-10):

   • Curriculum: Based on NCERT guidelines, students prepare for the Grade 10 external exam to receive a certificate from the Central Board of Secondary Education.
   • Subjects: English, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Arts, Languages, Physical Education, and electives.

5. Senior Secondary Stage (Grades 11-12):

   • Focus: Assisting students in selecting career paths and developing a thorough understanding of global employment options.
   • Streams and Subjects:
     • Science Stream: Biology, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Chemistry, and Physical Education.
     • Commerce Stream: Accountancy, Economics, Business Studies, and Computer Science.
