The British International School is a co-educational institute located in Abu Dhabi between the Khalifa City B and Madinat bin Zayed City behind Abu Dhabi University. The school offers the English National Curriculum from FS 1 to Year 11 and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program for Year 12 and Year 13.

The school offers the best combination of curriculum available globally which is the English National Curriculum coupled with the IB Diploma Programme. The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) program is delivered through a play-based approach where children sing, dance, experiment and enjoy their time at the BIS. EYFS focuses on the Social, Personal and Emotional Development of children along with literacy, Mathematics, Expressive arts and design. At Key Stage 1, children are engaged in numeracy, spelling and occasionally other areas such as literacy and humanities. Key Stage 2 focuses on subjects such as Maths, English, Science, ICT, Music, Drama, Arts, Languages and PE. Preparation for IGCES’s begins from Key Stage 3. Students study the IGCSE program during Year 10 and Year 11 where they are given opportunity to choose specialist subjects to study from a wide range of courses. The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) is the world’s premier post-16 qualification and is recognized as the best preparation possible for entry into the 21st century world.
The British International School integrates technology into the curriculum and offers state-of-the-art purpose-built facilities which includes a dedicated secondary floor, spacious classrooms, an indoor heated swimming pool, a dedicated IB Academy for senior students, well-equipped dance and drama studios and 3 contemporary music suites, 2 libraries as well as a fully-equipped multimedia library, science laboratories, shaded playing courts and expansive outdoor spaces and playing fields, a large covered and air-conditioned multi-purpose hall that can be used for basketball, volleyball, tennis, and other sports, a large gym sized 150m2 and an indoor semi-Olympic sized swimming pool.
