Description

The Aga Khan Early Learning Centre is for children from 12 months to 4 years old. The pre-school follows the UK Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum and is located in the Oud Metha area of Dubai.

The Aga Khan Early Learning Centre provides a carefully designed, stimulating and secure learning experience. Part and full-day activities are included in the program. The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum encourages the young pupil to become good communicators, independent thinkers, happy learners, and problem solvers. The Center provides a bilingual environment for children of every background and nationality.

The building is designed to promote cultural, educational and social programs; it offers a study program taught by competent teachers to help lay a strong foundation for children's continued education growth.

The curriculum is bilingual and emphasizes on developing children’s home language. Early Years Foundation Stage is broad, holistic and helps in the well-rounded development of children. The curriculum is implemented via participation and active learning, where children are encouraged through interactions with the world and people around them to develop their knowledge and skills.

The AKELC is open from 7 to 5 and offers children, pre-school, nursery and educational programs that meet top international excellence standards. The mission is to offer broad, holistic, and secular early childhood learning that demonstrates internationally recognized standards of excellence.

AKELC's vision is to provide a strong foundation for continuous education and lifelong learning for children. The center provides a comprehensive and balanced curriculum so that children can build on their knowledge and skills. Every child is respected, appreciated and nurtured at AKELC.

The EYFS program includes seven areas of learning and development. The Nursery program at AKELC is for children from ages 1 to 4. For children between 2 to 3 years of age, Toddler classes are offered. Each aspect of the program aims to support active learning and encourages it. Children learn in a safe and stimulating environment through trial and error.

The indoor and outdoor zones are designed to promote active learning and promote various forms of play. Each room is divided into areas for learning and other activities. AKELC provides high-level education and learning spaces of over 500 square meters. The facilities include an indoor playground, a meeting room, and a well-resourced library. The playground is divided into three different areas concerning the various age groups and children's abilities and interests.
