Ras Al Khaimah Academy is one of the largest and oldest co-educational international schools in the UAE. The RAKA BC campus follows the British Curriculum for students aged 3 to 11 years old and the RAKA IB campus offers IGCSE, AS level, A level, and the International Baccalaureate Diploma.
In conjunction with a strong EFL, the school offers Arabic and French as second languages. Teachers are mostly recruited from the UK, although the teaching body currently includes teachers from over a dozen nationalities. RAK Academy aims to build a culture of lifelong learning, to provide a broad and balanced education for the success of all learners and creates a safe, encouraging and engaging environment. Students take on the challenge of doing their best and strive to learn the knowledge and skills they need as lifelong learners.
The two sprawling RAK Academy campuses are over 23 acres and provides state-of-the-art facilities with 196 classrooms integrated with SmartBoard technology, three libraries, 12 Science labs, two theatres, three-storey media centre, two gymnasiums, two grass soccer fields, two swimming pools, four tennis courts, outdoor covered play areas, three cafeterias, and extensive IT suites with 70 networked computers.
The British Curriculum Primary School (BCPS) is a friendly independent school that offers education from Foundation Stage 1 to Year Six. Facilities at BCPS include a swimming pool, computer suites, and a theatre to help improve the curriculum and students' learning experience. The small classrooms, dedicated teachers and outstanding relations between every member provide a distinctly caring and friendly school environment.
During Year 1 and Year 2 children will apply the skills and knowledge acquired in Foundation Stage. The school's objective is to provide children with an interesting and challenging learning experience. The core areas of learning include literacy, numeracy, ICT and Science. Key Stage 2 at the RAK Academy begins from Year 3 to Year 6. Key Stage 2 provides all students with a rich and balanced curriculum. Individual care, support, and encouragement are given to all children. Specialist teachers teach ICT, music, arts, and PE. Children have access to many of the school's excellent facilities, including fully equipped ICT suites, a gym, swimming pool, outdoor age-appropriate equipment, and grounds. The school offers a wide range of exciting and stimulating activities to meet children’s interests.
The PYP curriculum offers the national and international learning approach, enabling students to reach their potential and future aspirations. The RAK Academy PYP facilities have 60+ classrooms, music rooms, theater, gymnasium, sports facilities, a well-resourced library, two computer suites, and a wireless network across the campus.
Students aged 11 to 14 years follow the Key Stage 3 English National Curriculum. Students elect subjects for GCSE and IGCSE. Students choose from AS level, A-level or IB Diploma program post 16 years.
The International Baccalaureate program develops caring for young people with knowledge and leadership skills that contribute through intercultural understanding and helps create a better peaceful world.
The school offers a range of extracurricular activities which include arts, languages, life skills, sports, academic, technology, choir, and indoor pursuits.

The registration form can be collected directly from the Admissions Office or downloaded from the RAK Academy website. Complete the Application Form and pay the non-refundable amount of 400 AED along with the Required Documents to support the application. Once your application has been processed, if there is a place available an appointment is made for the student to complete an entrance assessment. The admissions team will contact you with a date for your child’s admissions assessment or observation. After the assessment, on acceptance, the child and parent would be expected to agree to and sign a school contract for success.
Acceptance at RAK Academy is contingent upon the results of the admissions assessment.
