RAK Medical & Health Sciences University (RAKMHSU) was established under the visionary leadership of His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, UAE Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah. It proudly holds the distinction of being the UAE’s first comprehensive Health Sciences University, fully managed by the Government of Ras Al Khaimah.

The university offers a wide range of higher education programs in medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, and nursing through its four distinguished colleges:

RAK College of Medical Sciences
RAK College of Pharmaceutical Sciences
RAK College of Nursing
RAK College of Dental Sciences

All academic programs at RAKMHSU are accredited by the UAE’s Commission for Academic Accreditation (CAA), Ministry of Education. On the global front, the university is listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools (WDOMS). Notably, the MD program is accredited by the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME), while the Bachelor of Pharmacy program is recognized by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), USA. The dental and nursing programs are also currently progressing toward international accreditation.

Starting in 2006 with just 22 students, RAKMHSU has grown into a vibrant academic community of over 1,220 students representing around 50 nationalities. The university also boasts a diverse team of 110 teaching faculty, 120 support staff, and 125 adjunct faculty members from 32 countries.

RAKMHSU offers top-notch infrastructure including modern classrooms, advanced laboratories, a well-equipped library, and a comprehensive sports complex. The RAK College of Dental Sciences is housed in a state-of-the-art facility offering cutting-edge dental services.
