Raha International School is a co-educational International School offering all three International Baccalaureate Programme for students from KG to Grade 12, located in the Al Raha Gardens of Abu Dhabi. Raha International School is part of the Taleem family of schools.

The school enhances students’ natural curiosity and promotes a lifelong love for learning. Raha is Abu Dhabi's first school to obtain full IB curriculum accreditation. The IB program is recognized and respected internationally for its relevance to today's diverse and increasingly competitive society. The IB Learner Profile attributes are shaped by teams of internationally experienced, qualified, and passionate teachers.
.RIS offers the three IB Programs: the Primary Years Program (PYP), the Middle Years Program (MYP) and the Diploma Program (DP). The IB programs address the unique learning needs of each stage of the intellectual and emotional development of children.
Students from age 3 to 12 follow the PYP which is a global framework focusing on children's development and addresses their social, physical, emotional, cultural and academic needs. The program focuses on developing the whole child and adopts a trans-disciplinary learning approach. The subject areas include Language, Social Studies, Arts, Mathematics, Science and Technology, Social, Physical, and Personal Physical Education. It gives students a basic solid foundation for the MYP, DP and IBCP programs.
The IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) prepares students from Grade 6 to Grade 10 for the IB Diploma program. Subjects at this stage include Humanities, Science, Arts, Physical Education, Mathematics, Technology, and any two languages.
The IB Diploma Program (DP) is for students from Grade 11 to 12 and is a two year rigorous, balanced, academic education program which prepares students for their success in university and outside life. It addresses a young adult’s intellectual, emotional, social, and physical well-being. The IB DP Curriculum includes the DP Core and Six Subject Groups. The Six Subject Groups are Language Acquisition, Language and Literature studies, Science, Mathematics, Arts, Societies, and Individuals. The Diploma Program Core includes The Extended Essay, Theory of Knowledge, and Creativity, Action, Service (CAS) Program.
Raha International School offers a wide range of extracurricular activities for students. Sports activities include Basketball, Football, Rugby, Badminton, Tennis, Netball, Swimming, Hockey, Cricket, Volleyball, Fitness, Yoga, and Zumba. Cultural activities include Arabic Calligraphy, Indigenous Art, Cross-stitch, Language, Cultural Clubs, and Japanese Club. Performing Arts at RIS includes Choir, Comic Creators, Guitar Sing-along, and Shakespeare in the Piazza, Sketch Club, Young Musicians Club, Orchestra, Jazz Band, Junior Drama Club, and Creative Dance. Other activities include Chess, Arts, and Crafts club, Computer Club, Robotics, Freedom Writers, Strategic Games, Yearbook and Homework Club, and Science/Math Club.

Complete the online application form. Once the school receives your online application, you will receive an email sent to the email address you have entered on the application.
The email from Raha International School will provide a list of required documents and reference number. The Admissions team will also contact you personally with the next steps. If places are available, your child will be invited to attend an assessment. The school will then contact you with a date for your child’s placement assessment which will be administered by the Admissions Office and reviewed by Raha International School faculty.
Acceptance to Uptown School is contingent upon the results of the placement assessment, student interview, and former school reports.
