Newlands School is a British Curriculum School located in Al Warqa. The school started commencement from September 2017 and is easily accessible for residents from the Northern areas of Dubai, Sharjah and beyond. Newlands School offers a high quality International education for students from FS 1 to Year 6. The curriculum closely follows the framework of the subject and stage-specific National Curriculum for England (NSfE). Students in each age group till the end of Key Stage 3 (age 14), study the same subjects regardless of their background, nationality, or academic attainment level. The curriculum incorporates Arabic and Islamic Studies as well as cross-curricular understanding.

Newlands School has excellent facilities including 42 standard classrooms, with the Foundation Stage classrooms on the ground floor, separated from senior students. All primary classes from Year 1 to 3 are also located on the ground floor with exterior access and an activity room. In addition to academic excellence, students are provided with many extracurricular activities, clubs, and societies. Newlands School welcomes children from all communities and ability groups. To join the Newlands community, complete the Application Form and take it, together with the supporting documents and the Application Fee of 500 AED to the admissions office.

Supporting documents include a copy of child’s birth certificate, copy of child’s passport, visa, and Emirates ID, copy of both parents passport, visa, and Emirates ID, 16 Passport photos of child, previous years’ school reports or nursery school report, Transfer Certificate, copy of the immunization record.

If you have just arrived in Dubai and are still waiting for your visa to be processed, the school will still accept your application whilst you gain these documents. The Admissions office will need copies once you receive your visa and Emirates ID.

Your child will be invited to a session at the School where they will take part in age-appropriate activities designed so that we can understand your child better. These sessions are usually held with a small group of children. Whilst the child is being assesses, the admissions team will answer to all your questions regarding the school.

The School will confirm whether an offer is given to your child within 3 days. To secure your child’s place however you have to pay 30% of the annual tuition fee and ensure that all documentation has been provided. To comply with the Ministry of Education (KHDA)’s guidance, a Transfer Certificate and a Health Certificate are required before your child starts at Newlands.
