Liwa International School was established in the year 1992 and offers the American Curriculum for students from Kindergarten to Grade 12, located in the neighborhood of Al Ain.

Middle School subjects are delivered by specialist teaching faculty and cover the California Common Core Standard including core subjects like Math, Science, Social Studies, English, IT, French, Art, and PE. Electives like media, D&T, art, and French are available to high school pupils. MOE subjects include Arabic Civics, Islamic Studies, and Arabic. Students also participate in an extensive range of extra-curricular activities with clubs including Charity, Public Speaking, Environment, National Identity, Math, STEM, Taekwondo, Drama, Cooking, Art, Chess, Model UN, and IT.
The high school aims to develop well-balanced students with the content and skills required for life beyond school walls. High school Students also participate in an extensive range of extra-curricular clubs and activities including Sports, Cooking, Zumba, Drama, UN, Art, Fashion, Chess, Reading Buddies, Journalism, and Quran Studies.

Admissions for KG and Grade 1 are based on the Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK) rules that specify the minimum age for admission. Students applying for grades 2-12 are required to go through an admission test to assess their academic potential.
