Kings School Al Barsha is a British Primary and Secondary School for children aged 3 to 18, located in Al Barsha South 1. The School follows the National Curriculum for England for their students, from FS1 to Year 12 and started commencement from September 2014. Kings School Dubai is the only school in the United Arab Emirates that is rated “outstanding” every year. Under the Kings School family, all schools follow the same primary value of ‘The Best By Every Child’.
Kings School Al Barsha is a British Heritage school with its International community and world-class educational standards delivering high-quality, well rounded, international education. The curriculum helps provide young learners with a conceptual, integrated, and enriched learning experience.
Secondary School students work to achieve their qualifications in GCSE and A-Level, which will contribute to the English Baccalaureate (EBacc). Furthermore, they also work towards their Gold Level Duke of Edinburgh Award. Kings’ Education welcomes applications throughout the year.
Before applying for admission, check the school website to see which year group is correct for your child, based on their date of birth. Complete the inquiry form from the website and once the form has been completed, you will receive an automated response confirming receipt of your inquiry. An enrolments specialist will contact you within 2 working days to guide you through the next steps in the application process.
Following your inquiry, the school will send you the login details for the parent registration portal. All the required documents can be uploaded online via the parent portal.You will be required to pay a non-refundable fee of AED500 + VAT, which must be paid online.
Once you have added all the required details for your family and child(ren), uploaded all the required documents, and paid the registration fee, you may be allowed to book an assessment depending on availability. You will be notified of the outcome of the assessment shortly afterward. Successful applicants will receive a formal offer letter valid for ten days from receipt. If no places are available at the time, you will be placed on a waiting list and notified once a place becomes available. To secure the offer of a place, you will be asked to pay a deposit which will be deducted from the fees for your child’s first term. Payments can be made directly via online the registration portal.
Registration for 2024-25 Academic Year at Kings' School Al Barsha
Kings' School Al Barsha has outlined the age cut-off dates for the 2024-25 academic year to determine the appropriate year group for children based on their date of birth.
- FS1 (Foundation Stage 1): Children born between 1st September 2020 and 31st August 2021.
- FS2 (Foundation Stage 2): Children born between 1st September 2019 and 31st August 2020.
- Year 1: Children born between 1st September 2018 and 31st August 2019.
- Year 2: Children born between 1st September 2017 and 31st August 2018.
For Year 3 and above, the appropriate year group will be determined based on the child's transfer or leaving certificate from their previous school, especially if the child is coming from abroad. This ensures that the child is placed in the correct year group according to their previous educational experience.
