Khawarizmi International College was established in 1985 and is the first higher education institute accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, UAE. The campus is located in the heart of Abu Dhabi.

KIC's objective is to build graduates ready to meet the challenges of today and the future. The programs offered to enable students to fully engage in their selected careers, by giving them the required theoretical and conceptual knowledge and equip them with the relevant practical abilities and competences. The programs are offered to suit students from all walks of life through a variety of methods. Khawarizmi International College also offers evening and weekend sessions to ensure all students can find appropriate study times, in addition to the convenient morning sessions. Students can stay employed while completing their program of choice, gaining both professional as well as educational experience with flexible scheduling.

All classrooms are equipped with state-of-the-art educational facilities that enhance students’ learning experience. The infrastructure has 50 well-equipped classrooms integrated with the latest technology. KIC has a range of Specialized Laboratories for training health care professionals such as the Histopathology Laboratory, Biochemistry Laboratory, Microbiology/Parasitology Laboratory, and Hematology Laboratory. Computer Laboratories are equipped with 330 computers and internet access. The campus offers a state-of-the-art media production studio, Editing and Graphics Suite, and Audio Editing Suite. The Learning Resource Center (LRC) provides extensive learning resources covering all the college program fields. Students have access to virtual libraries and Berry, an e-book technology service.

The multipurpose hall hosts meetings and events. Sports facilities include a gym, football, and basketball pitches. Community facilities include a medical clinic, grocery store, reception, recreation room, and prayer rooms.

The College offers a Bachelor of Health Management degree (BHM) program and an Associate Degree in Health Management program to become a graduate combining the management skills and practical medical technology.

Khawarizmi International College offers Bachelor and Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Analysis Program which qualifies students in biotechnology, laboratory medicine for microbiology, blood diseases, genetic diseases, tumors, organ function analysis, chemical, and research analysis.

The Computer Graphics and Animation (CGA) department at KIC offers a two-year associate degree in Computer graphic design and 3D animation.

Medical Records department offers a Medical Records Diploma degree at Khawarizmi International College.

KIC’s Business Administration Program prepares students to acquire the skills and experience in the latest business, administrative and practicality studies. The department programs include four-degree programs; a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), Associate of Science in Business Administration (ADBA), a Bachelor of Islamic Banking & Finance (BIBF), and Associate of Science in Islamic Banking (ADIB).

The Department of Mass Communication, Advertising, and Public Relations at KIC offers a Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication.
