The Khalifa University was established in 2007 and is a Science, Technology and Research Institute located in Abu Dhabi. The university offers a range of bachelor’s, masters and doctoral programs.

The aim is to build a diverse service-oriented, ambitious, and talented community by promoting and fostering critical thinking, creative inquiry, and human values. Khalifa University students have access to comprehensive academic library and world-class research facilities. Undergraduate students from KU graduate with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree. Khalifa University graduate programs offer degrees in engineering and social sciences. KU’s master’s degree programs are offered in Information Security (MSc), engineering (MSc), International and Civil Security (MA) and doctoral education are offered in the engineering.

The Khalifa University has 3 campuses in Abu Dhabi which are the Main Campus, the Sas Al Nakhl Campus and the Masdar City Campus. Each campus is fully equipped to provide and facilitate high quality and high standard academic and research activities while also ensuring students enjoy their time at the campus.

The Khalifa University Abu Dhabi has 105 laboratories, cutting-edge underwater robotics, and aerospace lab, 72 classrooms, sports center, multi-story parking, retail and food outlets.

The academic sports center consists of separate facilities for men and women featuring state-of-the-art weight lifting and cardiovascular equipment, fitness studios, basketball, volleyball, squash, and badminton courts. The main campus also has a pedestrian walkway which is 200m long called the Creative Spine, which extends through the campus, offering clear views of the main buildings.

The Student Hub at KU includes homework tables, restaurant services, and comfortable benches offering students a comfortable space to relax between classes, have a coffee with friends or get homework done. The activity rooms provide recreational equipment such as billiards tables, table tennis, treadmills, television and seating areas.

Student Services offered at the university includes career services, individual and group counseling services, Student Council, Student Associations and Student Clubs (Emirati, Korean, Debate, Medical, Sports, HOPE, Theater, Japanese, Azer, Happiness, Literature, Spanish, Music, Green, Programming and Art Clubs).

The undergraduate courses offered at the College of Engineering include a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering (Software Systems), Electrical Engineering, Industrial and Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Petroleum Engineering. The graduate courses offered include a Master of Science degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Engineering Systems and Management, Information Security, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Sustainable Critical Infrastructure, Water and Environmental Engineering, Nuclear Engineering (for UAE Nationals), and Research in Engineering; Master of Engineering in Health, Safety and Environmental Engineering; and Doctor of Philosophy in Engineering (Aerospace, Biomedical, Chemical, Civil Infrastructure and Environmental, Electrical and Computer, Material Science and Engineering, Mechanical, Nuclear, Petroleum, Engineering Systems and Management, Robotics and Multidisciplinary Engineering)

The undergraduate courses offered at the College of Arts and Sciences include a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Geosciences, Chemistry and Applied Mathematics and Statistics. The graduate courses offered are Master of Arts in International and Civil Security (for UAE Nationals), Master of Science degree in Applied Chemistry, Computing and Information Science and Petroleum Geosciences; and Doctor of Philosophy in Petroleum Geosciences.

Minors offered at the Khalifa University include Minor in Nuclear Engineering and Minor in Unmanned Aerial Vehicles.

The College of Medicine and Health Sciences offer the Doctor of Medicine (M.D).
