The Japanese School is located in the Al Muroor Street of Abu Dhabi and is a private Kindergarten to Grade 9 School following the Educational Curriculum of Japan for the Japanese expatriates living in Abu Dhabi.

The Abu Dhabi Japanese Kindergarten is designed to develop children with a rich mind and a healthy body, who treat their friends gently and build self-confidence and develop creative, academic and leadership skills. The school raises children to develop a love for learning by creating a willingness and eagerness to learn. The Japanese School nurtures children to be polite and considerate and follow a healthy lifestyle where they take care of themselves and contribute to their communities.

The Abu Dhabi Japanese School has been formally authorized as a school following Japan's curriculum of education, by the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology (MEXT). The school has a proud history of delivering an excellent world-class education for about 37 years. Students graduating from The Japanese School Abu Dhabi receive the Japanese Elementary or Junior High School graduation degree.

Within each classroom, there are ten students, which enable teachers to give students more attention to offer instruction and everyday guidance to everyone. Since the size of a classroom is approximately 10 students in which one class per grade, Japanese School Abu Dhabi gives students more individual attention and guidance. This gives teachers the chance to study the character of each student and teach them efficiently, not only in class but also in other areas of academic and non-scholastic areas.

There is always 4 NPO staff to support the Japanese and Mathematical Classes and to provide extra lessons after school. The Japanese Kindergarten School Abu Dhabi has three grades KG1 to KG3 designed for students from age 3 years onwards. Each grade is managed by one teacher.

The Japanese School Abu Dhabi offers a range of extracurricular activities for students which include the Japanese Summer Festival, Hyakunin-Isshu, Kakizome Festival, and more.

The school offers education for students from Grade 1 of Elementary School which is for 6-year-olds to 3rd Grade of Junior High School which is the 9th Grade for 15-year-olds based on the Japanese Curriculum for education.

The Japanese School Abu Dhabi also offers Arabic, Islamic and Social Studies classes as per the Abu Dhabi Education Council.
