Ignite School is an International educational institution offering the American Curriculum for students from Pre-KG to Grade 12. Ignite school is a new school that opened its doors in 2018 and is located in the Al Warqa area of Dubai.       

The mission of Ignite School is to understand the needs of every child, to work together to create an environment of learning that focuses on students, sustainable learning of the 21st century and promotes the development of leadership, creativity, social cohesion, responsibility as well as ambitions.

Ignite School provides a high quality, rigorous and student-focused curriculum that matches the common core study standards of the New York State P-12, ensuring relevance for the UAE's culture and life. The school delivers a high standard New York State Common Core. Students learn to think critically, creatively, collaborate, communicate and develop a lifelong love for learning.

Ignite School is a sprawling campus with state-of-the-art facilities throughout the campus. The facilities include indoor learning spaces, Indoor playroom for ELC, English Language Learner centers, Learning support centers, 2 Theatre (black box) studio, 2 Artspace, 4 Science labs, 2 robotics lab, 2 IT labs, 2 well-resourced libraries, 86 learning spaces, prayer rooms, swimming pool with changing rooms, Shaded multipurpose sports courts, football field, outdoor play areas with age-appropriate play equipment for ELC and Elementary School, Indoor multipurpose sports hall and auditorium, and an indoor dining area.

Ignite School offers the US educational experience with the US High School Diploma to Emirati students and expatriate students. The Ignite School Curriculum complies both with the New York State P-12 Common Core Learning Standards and the KHDA Guidelines.

The Pre-Kindergarten (KG 1) program of the Ignite School aligns with the Common-Core Standards of the New York State Pre-Kindergarten Foundation. This program will be enriched by the New York State Early Learning Guidelines.

The Kindergarten program (KG 2) is aligned with New York State P-12 Common Core Learning Standards.

Grades 1 to 12 follows the New York State P-12 Common Core Learning Standards. Subjects at this stage include English Language Arts, French, Spanish, World languages, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Technology, The Arts, Occupational Studies, Career Development, Health and Physical Education. English Language Arts and Mathematics follow the US Common Core Standards.

Grades 1 to 12 Arabic, Moral Education, UAE Social Studies, and Islamic education follow the UAE Ministry of Education curriculum as per the KHDA Guidelines.

Students are given the chance to engage in extracurricular activities and clubs that foster innovation, creativity, and social contribution while providing a comprehensive education. Students often participate in a range of activities that contribute to the community.

Fees

These fees are annual and do not include additional one-time fees such as admission and assessment fees. The school also offers sibling discounts, where the second and subsequent children receive a 5% discount on tuition fees.

For KG-1, KG-2 and Grade 1 admission, children are assessed and observed in groups of at least three students.  Five main criteria are considered for successful entrance.  Children must be age-appropriate for their grade; be able to separate from their caregiver and demonstrate a readiness to participate in the classroom; be bathroom independent; be able to engage in activity following verbal or non-verbal direction, and be able to demonstrate fine and gross motor skill development at an age-appropriate level.

Applications for Grade 2 to 12 are to include a transcript (school report) for the most recent completed grade.  Students should have a passing level of achievement.  Students and parents will be invited to discuss their application with the Director and Admissions Officer.
