Gulf Indian High School was established in 1979 and follows the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Curriculum for children from Kindergarten to Grade 12. The school is located in Al Garhoud area of Dubai.

Gulf Indian High School is a sprawling campus with state-of-the-art modern facilities that integrate energy-saving measures as of the Green Vision of Dubai. School facilities include a large playground, Volleyball court, basketball court, and other game courts, modern well-equipped laboratories for Home Science, Physics, Science, Math, and Computers. Classrooms are integrated with interactive whiteboards and implements e-software used by parents, staff, and students for Online Assignments, Examination, Progress reports, and Attendance management, etc. The school has a well-resourced library with extensive learning resources and e-library to enhance the process of learning.
Gulf Indian High School provides a wide range of opportunities for children to explore their skills and talents and unlock their potential. Some of the extracurricular activities are Basketball Volleyball, Football, Athletics, Table tennis, Cricket, Caroms, and Badminton. Co-curricular activities include Debate, Extempore, Elocution, Music, Drama, Dance, Fancy Dress, and Quiz. Sports is an integral part of GIHS and offers facilities for Football, Basketball, Volleyball, Cricket, Badminton, track and field events, chess, caroms, etc. Every student at GIHS is given the opportunity to join a club such as a sports club, Literary club, Arabic club, STEM club, science club, mathematics club, eco club and more that help students enhance their social and academic skills.
Gulf Indian High School prepares students for the All India Secondary School Examination in Grade 10 following the Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) format. In Grade 12, students focus on the Senior School Certificate Examination.
For admissions, complete the online registration form. All admissions from KG II and upwards are granted based on the performance of the candidate at an assessment session, availability of seats, on a recommendation and positive school report from the previous academic year and submission of his/her original Transfer Certificate/School Leaving Certificate from the last school attended by him/her showing his/her Annual Examination results and promotion to higher class. All admissions are subject to APPROVAL from KHDA. All documents for admission should be submitted to the school authorities within 20 days from the date of admission.
