Greenwood International School is an American school established in 2006, following the US Curriculum for students from Kindergarten to Grade 12, located in the Muhaisnah area of Dubai.

Greenwood International School has state-of-the-art modern facilities equipped to enhance the students learning process. Classrooms are well-equipped with projectors, Promethean/ Smartboards, computers, and internet connectivity. GIS has purpose-built spacious science laboratories, well equipped music rooms with wide range of music instruments, art room, computer lab, prayer rooms, well-stocked library, and multipurpose hall for indoor activities, football and basketball pitches, 3 recreational tent-covered areas, a newly landscaped outdoor corner for student usage, KG indoor and outdoor play areas and canteen.
The Kindergarten program maintains a close link with the home and aims to provide children with useful experiences in preparation for Elementary schooling. The programs help the child become more self-confident, learn to work with others and develop good habits. Students at this level learn essentially by exploring the world and its people. Elementary school curriculum focuses on English, Mathematics, Islamic, Social Studies, Art, P.E, Science, Arabic, and ICT. Students will develop a strong understanding of reading, develop comprehension skills and critical thinking, learn fundamental mathematical concepts, explore various scientific topics and get to know the world around them. The middle school curriculum is aligned with the Common Core state standards for English and Mathematics education and the Michigan State Standards on science, Art, ICT, and PE along with the MOE curriculum for Arabic, Islamic, Moral Education, and Social Studies. The High school program meets the requirements for US graduation. The set of high school lessons provide a strong basis for students to pursue higher education. Options are offered to allow students to discover their interests and skills and develop them.

Registration for the various school classes shall be made directly at the school Administration. 2- The registrar undertakes the supervision and checking of the registration process in the school. Registrar will coordinate with the respective cycle heads for admissions and denial of admissions. 3- The learner’s registration in the school shall not be considered a final admission until after the approval of KHDA.
