Learning Reimagined

GEMS World Academy, Abu Dhabi was established in 2011. We have reimagined learning to equip students with everything they need to lead successful lives filled with purpose and enterprise.

Our advanced curricular IB approach combines the content of the Early Years Foundation Stage, National Curriculum for England, and the power of High Performance Learning (HPL) with all of the benefits of the International Baccalaureate programmes. We provide learners with a hyper-personalised, future-proofed education – one that delivers high performance for all.

With a passionate team of dedicated educators, we draw experience and expertise from across the globe, helping us to deliver IB programmes that meet the highest international standards. Our students graduate as future-focused thinkers and empowered global citizens, ready to make their mark on the world stage.

We pride ourselves on fostering a warm learning environment where all students feel safe, happy and fulfilled. Ours is a supportive learning community with mutual respect and tolerance at its core, made up a truly international family of students, teachers and support staff. At the same time, we recognise and respect the importance of our host country’s language and culture, and actively promote these at all times.

Our IB students learn at an early age how to direct their own learning pathway and develop the skills and confidence they need to thrive and make a long lasting difference. They know what it means to belong to a multicultural, diverse and inter-connected world. We cultivate a culture of kindness, teaching our students to respect each other and the environment, while encouraging them to re-use and recycle both at school and at home.

The school has a strong community atmosphere, providing young learners with a safe and convenient environment. With mutual respect and tolerance at its heart, the school provides a supportive learning community. GEMS World Academy also recognizes and respects the importance of the language and culture of the host country and actively promotes it at all times as an international family.

With the IB Primary Years Program, students learn an early age what it means to become involved in a diverse, multicultural, and interconnected world. The mission is to provide exciting and meaningful learning experiences while developing international students capable of succeeding in an ever-changing world. The inquiry-based program was carefully designed to educate all children to take a more positive view of the world and to increase their understanding, skills, personality, and attitude.

The school enriches world knowledge with classes such as Art, Physical Education, Music, Information and Communications Technology, Library, Media Literacy, and the Arabian Culture. Children acquire an understanding of the different cultures and skills to promote diversity. To build academic success and strengthen character, inquiry-based learning programs provide children with profound knowledge, abilities, and dispositions.

The campus of GEMS World Academy was designed to optimize the learning experience of each student. The school facilities allow students to learn in a variety of areas in a child-friendly school community through research and exploration.
