GEMS Westminster School Sharjah, established in 2012 is an international school following the National Curriculum for England and Wales for children from FS 1 to Year 13. The school is located in the Muwaileh area of Sharjah.

The school has a happy and friendly atmosphere and adopts a child-centered approach and offers value-based education. GEMS Westminster offers an extensive range of extracurricular activities that help build personality and character. The educational philosophy focuses on care, quality, and relevance.

The primary objective is to provide the values, skills, and knowledge necessary for children to excel in a nurturing and stimulating environment. GEMS Westminster School has its curriculum integrated with Digital Literacy. GEMS Education promotes Digital Literacy as a key competency in classrooms and makes use of research tools that help students use technologies for learning.

GEMS Westminster School has state-of-the-art world-class facilities which include Administration and reception areas, outdoor football pitch, indoor four-court sporting hall, cricket nets, outdoor basketball courts, 4 outdoor multi-games courts, multi-purpose sports hall, ICT and Electronics laboratories, facilities for music, art, science and other, indoor and outdoor play areas, a well-resourced library, and specialist classrooms for primary students and secondary school students.

The school encourages sports to promote a healthy and fit lifestyle. Besides, a wide range of extracurricular and co-curricular activities are offered to foster social, personal and academic skills.

An inquiry-based learning and teaching method is adopted to promote problem-solving skills and other abilities. The Primary Section (Key Stage 1) offers a vibrant, rich and child-oriented learning process. In addition to the strong, well-rounded curriculum, the relaxed and caring learning environment offers a perfect combination of social, academic, and emotional growth.

The Secondary section (Key Stage 3) program provides an academically productive environment where all students are challenged to follow and develop their passions. The learning process is based on individual student requirements and builds independence and confidence for every child.

Key stage 5 follows the UK AS level program, which challenges students to find their identities as scholars, athletes, leaders, artists, and scientists. The UK IGCSE exams are undertaken by Grade 11 students.

The co-curricular and extra-curricular activities at Westminster School includes field trips, environment/social service projects, cultural events, sports, arts, maths club, science club, languages and more.

The School may undertake screening and assessments to determine the right placement of an applicant.  The screening and assessment of a student will be determined by the admission committee and will be necessary to complete the registration process for the school.  Once this step has been completed, a student may be offered a seat, placed on the waitlist, or denied.

To begin the application process, submit your inquiry through the School website. Once you have completed the online application, you will receive an Enquiry number. Once the online registration is completed, WSS emails parents an invitation to visit/contact school for the admission assessment.

Students after admission assessment if passed will be offered a seat subject to availability.
