GEMS Cambridge International School is a British Curriculum school offering high standard education for students from FS1 to Year 13 and is located in the Al Garhoud area of Dubai.

The school is divided into Primary Section (from Kindergarten to Year 6) and Secondary Section (from Year 7 to Year 13). Cambridge International School-Dubai is set on an attractive campus in Garhoud and offers students a stimulating learning environment with purpose-built modern facilities. The Foundation stage (FS1 and FS2) follows The Early Years Foundation Stage program which has 7 learning areas: 3 prime and 4 specific areas. The prime learning areas include Communication and Language, Physical development, personal, social and Emotional Development. The specific areas are Literacy, Maths, Technology, Expressive art, and design. The EYFS lays a basic foundation and prepares students for the National Curriculum for England.

Key Stage 1 and 2 include the study of English, Mathematics, Geography, Science, History, Social Studies, Design & Technology, French, Islamic Studies, Computing, Art, Arabic, Music and Physical Education. When children actively participate in the learning process, they learn best. A selection of extracurricular activities offers students the opportunity to improve their skills and challenge themselves by developing new areas of interest. Drama, choir, computers, art and design, various sports activities, and a number of school clubs form part of extracurricular activities.

The IGCSE Curriculum is introduced in Key Stage 4 (Year 10 and Year 11) and a range of topics are offered that cater to a range of academic needs and interests. During the last two years of school, AS and A levels are attended by students. There are again a variety of topics available that help prepares students for higher education or career opportunities.

Fees

Fee Structure (2024-2025)

All tuition fees are payable in advance of attendance.

Fees are in accordance with the fee structure established by GEMS under the guidance of KHDA’s established School Fee Framework.

*Application Fee - Application fee of AED 525 payable at the time of applying for entry into the school. (Application fee includes VAT and is non-refundable if the offer of a place is rejected, and non-transferable)

**Registration Fee - A registration deposit of 10% of the total tuition fee will be due upon the acceptance of the offer letter. The registration deposit is non-refundable but adjustable against the total tuition fees for the academic year.

Re-Enrolment

To secure a seat for the following academic year, parents must pay a re-enrolment fee of 5% of school fees by given deadline.

This fee is non-refundable and is adjusted against the first semester fees for the following school year.

Please note that students who are unable to be registered with the Ministry of Education/KHDA due to incomplete documentation or students with any outstanding fees may not be eligible to re-enrol for the next academic year.

Non-Payment of Fees

Non-payment of school fees may result in the withholding of school reports, references and/or examination results, as well as temporary or permanent exclusion from school.

Registration Timings: 8 am to 3:00 pm, Monday - Thursday and 8am -12:00pm on Fridays.Our school remains closed on weekends.

Complete the online application form to generate student enquiry ID number. Once registered the applicant will be placed on the waiting list and called for an assessment, depending on space availability. All admissions will be confirmed subject to the child’s assessment results.

Assessment Test

The test is conducted in order to have knowledge of the student’s academic skills particularly with reference to his/her records from the previous school.
