GEMS Al Barsha National School for girls is located in the Al Barsha area of Dubai and offers the UK Curriculum combined with the UAE Ministry of Education’s Arabic and Islamic program for students from FS 1 to Year 13.

Students from FS 1 to Year 13 will follow the National Curriculum for England enabling students to take their IGCSE/GCSE in Year 11 and A-levels in Year 13. This formal program is enhanced by extensive opportunities for extracurricular activities. The international curriculum respects the Arab culture and local traditions. To build confident and adaptive students to an ever-changing world, the enhanced national curriculum for England will integrate the skills and competences of the 21st century.

Payment Policies

The tuition fees are due prior to the start of the academic year and payable in advance of attendance, at the start of each term. Tuition fees will be invoiced from the time of admission to ensure that payments can be processed before the start of the term. If your circumstances change, it is essential that you contact us in advance of the deadline so that we can guide you on available options. Please note, all tuition fees are in accordance with the fee structure established by GEMS Education under the guidance of KHDA established School Fee Framework.

Our Tuition Fees and other associated costs must be paid up front. Our fees are set in compliance with the rules set by the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), and may change, as permitted by the KHDA.

Sibling Discount

  • Sibling discounts for students already enrolled at a GEMS school for the 2023-2024 academic year will be grandfathered for 2024-2025. 
  • GEMS families with additional siblings enrolled for April 2024 and September 2024 will be grandfathered on the 2023-2024 sibling discount. 
  • New students enrolled for April 2024 and September 2024 will be eligible for the below sibling discounts: 
    • Sibling Concession 4th child is 15%
    • Sibling Concession 5th child and above is 25%

Fee-Payment Schedule

Application Fee

 (payable upon applying for admission): Dh525 (inclusive of VAT)

  • Valid for 2 years and refundable if the school does mot offer students a place, unless, the child's registration is carried forward to the following academic year.
  • Non-refundable if the school offers the student a place but the student chooses not to take it.
  • Not deductible from the total tuition fees to be paid if the student is offered and accepts a place.

Registration Deposit

This deposit is payable after the student has been offered a place and parents have accepted the offer. The registration deposit is 10% of the total tuition fees of an academic year. Please note, this is a non-refundable and non-transferable deposit.

Transport service fees (payable to STS, our school transport service provider)

  • Non-Payment of Fees

Students may not be permitted to appear for the school examination if their fees are not paid. Failure to pay school fees may result in a loss of the student’s place in the school, withholding of their school reports, references and/or examination results, as well as temporary or permanent expulsion or exclusion from school.

Student Withdrawals

All students withdrawing from the school must submit notification of their withdrawal in writing to the registrar’s office. A 30-day notification period is required to ensure all necessary documents are ready.

  • Transfer from another school (120 AED).

  • Request for student transfer between private schools (after the stipulated time frame)-Student transfer (520 AED instead of 15 AED).
  • Request for attestation of student certificate or report card (120 AED instead of 15 AED).
  • Issuance of 'To whomsoever it may concern' certificate for matters related to School – Attestation (120 AED instead of 15 AED).
  • Issuance of 'To whomsoever it may concern' certificate for matters related to Students - Academic History (120 AED instead of 15 AED).
  • Request to change student data at the Authority - Student exam grade amendment (120 AED instead of 15 AED).

Submit an online inquiry through the school website.  A confirmation email will be sent containing your Enquiry Number. Pay the registration fee (Dhs 1,000) and bring the necessary supporting documents to the school to complete the registration process. The school will contact you to schedule an interview and/or assessment test. Bring your child at the scheduled time for their interview and/or assessment test. Upon completion of the interview and/or assessment test, the school will contact you if your child has been offered a place. Make your admission fee payment to finalize your child’s admission and secure their place.
