Emirates College for Advanced Education was established in 2007 and is a specialist teacher training college for educational research, teacher preparation, and school development center. The campus is located in the Al Zafranah area of Abu Dhabi.

ECAE is an Abu Dhabi Government world-class research-based higher education institute whose graduates are recognized in the United Arab Emirates and beyond as transformative educators. The College constantly prepares and enhances excellent teachers and educational leaders through research-based education.

Emirates College for Advanced Education has state-of-the-art campus facilities and technology with outstanding learning and teaching environment. Students take advantage of the campus i-labs, advanced interactive boards, in-built technology and more. The campus also offers a beautiful and vibrant covered garden area where students relax and get social. CAE’s well-resourced library has extensive learning resources to support students in their educational requirements and goals. The library also offers an outstanding study environment with a group and private study areas where students can access information and interact with each other shared learning environment. The leisure center is equipped with a gymnasium and a student hub where students relax, study, meet with others and engage in social and co-curricular activities.

The undergraduate program includes a four year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) program with a specialization in Special Needs Education, Early Childhood Education, Information Technology Education, Applied Behavior Analysis, Art and Music, Counseling in Education, and Health and Physical Education. The program ensures that both theoretical and practical knowledge are available to students to make a real difference in school education and learning.

Emirates College for Advanced Education offers students a range of high quality graduate programs including postgraduate diplomas, masters and doctoral degrees. The programs offered include Post Graduate Diploma in School Evaluation and Improvement, Postgraduate Certificate/ Diploma in Guidance and Counseling, Post Graduate Diploma in Applied Behavior Analysis, Master of Education (M.Ed.) with specialization in Educational Assessment, Curriculum and Learning Design, Special and Inclusive Education, and Applied Behavior Analysis (M.Ed. in ABA); Doctor of Philosophy in Education (Measurement and Assessment, Educational Neuroscience and Special Education).

Bachelor of Education (B.Ed)

ECAE offers a Bachelor of Education program which is structured over four years. The Bachelor of Education has seven concentrations as follows:

Early Childhood Education
Counselling in Education
Information Technology Education
Health and Physical Education
Applied Behavior Analysis [The Behavior Analyst Certification Board, Inc.® has approved the following course sequence as meeting the coursework requirements for eligibility to take the Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst Examination®. Applicants will have to meet additional requirements to qualify.

Post Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE)

The Postgraduate Diploma in Education program is a responsive and flexible one year modular program that is aligned with Level 8 in the UAE Qualification Framework - QF Emirates. It not only provides a route into teaching for those whose first degree is not in education but also offers an option for in-service practitioners without teaching qualifications to refresh their teaching skills. The Postgraduate Diploma in Education consists of mandatory courses which total 28 credits.

Master of Education (M.Ed)

The Master of Education (M.Ed) Program is a 36 credit-based two year degree program aligned with Level 9 in the UAE Qualification Framework - QF Emirates. The program focuses on Education practitioners, leaders, administrators and professionals in a broad range of field and is also suitable for other professionals whose work has an educational component or some educational responsibility. The following tracks are offered within the program:

The M.Ed is offered over four semesters, and the final semester includes either a capstone project or a research project.

All programs offered are accredited by the Commission for Academic Accreditation.
