Emirates Canadian University College was established in 2012 and offers high quality higher education. The University is located in the heart of Umm Al Quwain.

The mission of the Canadian University of Emirates (ECUC) is to educate students through scholarship, teaching, and public service to meet the educational and cultural needs of UAE society. The university empowers students to learn to develop and adapt to their cultural heritage and background. Students are given opportunities to apply their skills and knowledge. ECUC offers a wide range of services, academic programs, technology and facilities to foster the personal development and intellectual development of students. The Business Administration department's mission is to provide an excellent experience, with a focus on the communication, technical, and teamwork expertise required for the businessperson today to succeed in their work. ECUS offers laboratory practice, research, scholarships, and social service. Students also actively participate in national competitions, workshops, and conferences. The Department offers a Bachelors' degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Finance and Banking, Accounting, and Real Estate Development and Investment.

The English Language and Translation program are intended to give students a full, innovative English and translation program using the most advanced technology to guarantee excellence in translation practice. The approach to teaching is based on self-learning, critical thinking, analysis, and experiential learning. The English Language and Translation program are developed to help students to reach high levels of communication skills in English.

The Department of Mass Communication offers a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mass Communication with specializations in Public Relations, New Media, and Journalism. The College has a wide range of facilities including laboratory publishing, multimedia, graphic design, and other educational facilities that meet the professional standards in Mass Communication.

The Law Department offers a bachelor’s degree in Law.
