Dubai British School is an International School established in 2005, offering The English National Curriculum for students aged 3 to 18, located in The Springs and Meadows area of Dubai’s Emirates Hills. The school is a member of the Taaleem group of schools, which is the second largest education provider in the UAE for early years, primary and secondary schools.

DBS follows the National Curriculum for England, following the Early Years Foundation Stage, significantly enhanced by 'WOW Learning' in Primary, and a set of GCSE and A Level courses for students Year 10 to Year 13. The school believes opportunities outside the classroom are equally important as the main curriculum and provides an extensive and varied range of Extra Curricular Activities (ECA) Programme which includes a wide range of sports, outward bound, service and cultural activities such as football, swimming, cricket, rugby, arts and Crafts, tennis, yoga, karate, basketball, games, Duke of Edinburgh, choir, drama, and F1. Students are encouraged to take part in activities that enhance their skills while broadening their knowledge. Secondary School students in Year 10 and Year 11 attend the GCSE and IGCSE examinations. Students enter A Level examinations in Years 12 and 13.

KHDA Charges

For students transferring within Dubai schools, there is a KHDA administration fee of AED 120 for each student which should be settled in cash. This fee is collected on behalf of the KHDA by the receiving school.

Sibling Discount

There is a sibling discount of 10% on tuition fees for the third (youngest) and subsequent child in each family, paying full fees, for the 2022/23 and 2023/24 academic years, attending any Taaleem school in Dubai.

Please note that the above fees include required books, which are provided to students on a loan basis. Students return books at the end of the Term or Academic year.

Application Fee
A one-time non-refundable non-transferable Application Fee of AED 525 is required to process your child's application. It applies to new students only and includes 5% VAT added as per government regulations.

Registration Fee

Registration Fee AED 4,000 - only for new students. Payment of registration fee secures a place for your child at DBS Emirates Hills and is credited against Term 1 fees. The deadline for Term 1 fee is 2nd August. To register your child, you are required to pay the balance of the first term fees at least one month before the beginning of the school year and hand in post-dated cheques for the subsequent term.

To begin the admission procedure, complete the online application form. After completion of the application form, submit the documents required along with the application fee of AED 525.

All children are assessed prior to entry.
For overseas applicants, assessments may be completed from abroad. The Registrar will contact you regarding your child’s current school facilitating an assessment and a reference.
For Secondary applicants (Years 7 to 12), DBS will contact your child’s current school for a reference.
You will be notified of an admission decision shortly following the assessment.

If an offer is made, parents have two weeks to return acceptance paperwork and pay a non-refundable deposit which will be deducted from the joining term’s fees.

If Waitlisted, your child is in the year group waiting pool and you will be notified once a place becomes available. Regretfully, we are unable to guarantee placement for all children in the waiting pool.

If we are unable to accept your child, your child may be invited for re-assessment at a future date or the application may be withdrawn.
