Dubai British School is an International School established in 2005, offering The English National Curriculum for students aged 3 to 18, located in The Springs and Meadows area of Dubai’s Emirates Hills. The school is a member of the Taaleem group of schools, which is the second largest education provider in the UAE for early years, primary and secondary schools.
DBS follows the National Curriculum for England, following the Early Years Foundation Stage, significantly enhanced by 'WOW Learning' in Primary, and a set of GCSE and A Level courses for students Year 10 to Year 13. The school believes opportunities outside the classroom are equally important as the main curriculum and provides an extensive and varied range of Extra Curricular Activities (ECA) Programme which includes a wide range of sports, outward bound, service and cultural activities such as football, swimming, cricket, rugby, arts and Crafts, tennis, yoga, karate, basketball, games, Duke of Edinburgh, choir, drama, and F1. Students are encouraged to take part in activities that enhance their skills while broadening their knowledge. Secondary School students in Year 10 and Year 11 attend the GCSE and IGCSE examinations. Students enter A Level examinations in Years 12 and 13.
Dubai British School has state-of-the-art world-class facilities which include : swimming pool, large a multi-purpose sports hall, two libraries, art and design studio, including pottery studio, design and technology workshop, two music rooms, six science laboratories, three ICT Suites, all-weather football pitch, tennis/basketball court, gym, auditorium with stadium seating, dedicated Sixth Form common and study rooms, dedicated Foundation and Primary play areas, wireless internet throughout, private practice music rooms, and cafeteria.

To begin the admission procedure, complete the online application form. After completion of the application form, submit the documents required along with the application fee of AED 525.
All children are assessed prior to entry.
For overseas applicants, assessments may be completed from abroad. The Registrar will contact you regarding your child’s current school facilitating an assessment and a reference.
For Secondary applicants (Years 7 to 12), DBS will contact your child’s current school for a reference.
You will be notified of an admission decision shortly following the assessment.
If an offer is made, parents have two weeks to return acceptance paperwork and pay a non-refundable deposit which will be deducted from the joining term’s fees.
If Waitlisted, your child is in the year group waiting pool and you will be notified once a place becomes available. Regretfully, we are unable to guarantee placement for all children in the waiting pool.
If we are unable to accept your child, your child may be invited for re-assessment at a future date or the application may be withdrawn.
