Deira International School is an International School following the National Curriculum for England for students from Foundation Stage to Year 11 and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program and the IB Career-related Programme for students from Year 12 to Year 13.

Deira International School follows the English National curriculum that is adapted for both the local and international contexts. Senior students take IGCSE exams in year 11 of the Cambridge Board and move into the approved International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IBDP) in years 12 and 13. These highly respected and world-renowned qualifications enable students to enter university worldwide.

All students from Year 1 to Year 9 study Arabic as an additional or first language depending on nationality and mother tongue. Key stage 1 (FS1 and FS2) follows the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum (EYFS). The transition from early years to Key Stage 1 is essential and every child is provided with a supporting program in the new environment. The broad and balanced curricular provided by the DIS cultivate a love for learning by nurturing individual strengths and interests.

Key Stage 2 begins by encouraging children to be academically inquisitive and responsible. DIS offers an innovative curriculum based on cross-curricular planning. This includes all core topics that emphasize the holistic approach of developing the whole child. By the end of Year 9, students will opt for IGCSE subjects. Key Stage 4 prepares students for external IGCSE and GCSE examinations. These examinations are internationally recognized and prepare students for IB and university programs.
