Canadian University Dubai was established in 2006 and offers higher education based on the Canadian curriculum in a wide range of courses including Architecture, Interior Design, Communication, Arts and Sciences, Engineering and Management and more. The campus is located in the Downtown area of Dubai city.   

The aim is to make each individual a well-rounded complete, lifelong learner and confident global citizen. This is achieved not only through academics but also by incorporating extracurricular activities. The campus offers everything from sports to concerts and other academic and leisure clubs. Students also take part in various social activities, including networking events, team building, and community fundraising.

The university offers students a wide range of educational choices that complement practical opportunities in their respective fields, with ultra-modern technology distributed throughout the campus, laboratories, classrooms, and electronic facilities. The Canadian University campus is architecturally unique with state-of-the-art facilities throughout the campus. Academic facilities include fully-furnished and well-equipped classrooms with computer workstations and overhead projectors, studios, and laboratories integrated with the latest technology to enhance the process of learning with online and digital content. Students have access to wireless networks throughout the campus. The Learning Resource Centre houses journals, a reference section, newspapers, current magazines, and other learning resources. Students also have access to computers during Library hours. The Red Theatre is where student-led activities and official ceremonies take place. Other facilities include a student health clinic, prayer rooms, cafeterias, residence facilities, and parking facilities.

The Faculty of Architecture and Interior Design includes the Department of Architecture offering a bachelor’s degree in Architecture and the Department of Interior Design offers a bachelor's degree in Interior design.

The Faculty of Communication, Arts and Sciences have three departments – the Department of Communication and Media, Environmental Health Sciences, and Social Sciences. The Department of Communication and Media offers a Bachelor of Arts in Communication in Advertisement, Journalism and Public Relations. The Department of Environmental Health Sciences offers a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health Management program and a Bachelor of Science in Health Organization Management. The department of Social Sciences offers a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.

The Faculty of Engineering, Applied Science and Technology has two departments - the Department of Computer Engineering and Computational Sciences and Department of Electrical Engineering. The Department of Computer Engineering and Computational Sciences offer Bachelor of Computer and Networking Engineering Technology program. Department of Electrical Engineering offers the Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering in the fields of Electronics, Mechatronics, and Telecommunication.

The Faculty of Management offers graduate programs in Master of Business Administration in Finance, General Management, Human Resource Management, Marketing, Double Concentration, and Management and Governance. The undergraduate programs include Bachelor of Business Administration in Forensic Accounting, Accounting and Finance, e-Business, Events and Tourism Management, Human Resource Management, International Business, Luxury Marketing, Marketing, Operations and Supply Chain Management, and Sport Management.

Student activities offered at the Canadian University Dubai include Performance and Cultural Events, Community Involvement, Student clubs such as Dance Club, Drama Club, Model United Nations, Music Club, and Robotics Club; and Other Recreational Facilities. Sports programs include Football training, Volleyball training, Basketball team training, Tennis training, Table tennis, Athletics, Chess and more.
