PISA 2025: Testing Window is now Open for Dubai Schools

Dubai students gear up to showcase their skills on the global education stage.
Dubai’s private school students are preparing to take part in PISA 2025, as the testing window has officially opened from April 14 to May 30, 2025.
What is PISA?
The Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) is the world’s most recognized benchmark for educational performance. Its focus is to evaluate the real-world application of the skills and knowledge of 15-year-olds in three key areas: Reading, Mathematics, and Science. PISA is conducted every three years, and the focus area for PISA 2025 is Science, in line with the global efforts to prepare students for a future where scientific literacy is key.
A Global Effort, A Local Commitment
An astounding 95 countries and cities are participating globally, among which Dubai alone boasts the participation of 166 private schools, involving over 10,900 students, all set to steal the global stage representing the emirate.
However, PISA isn’t just about ranking or scores. PISA results are rich in insights on how effectively our schools are nurturing future-ready learners and how capable they are to meet modern-day challenges. This will be the stepping stone in shaping informed policy decisions and will contribute to the continuous improvement efforts of education systems globally.
Dubai’s Unwavering Pursuit of Excellence
Dubai has been a dedicated participant in PISA since 2009, making this the city’s sixth consecutive involvement in the test cycle. This sustained involvement shouts Dubai’s ambitious Education 2033 Strategy, solely aiming to place the emirate among the top 10 education systems worldwide.
As the 2025 PISA assessments begin, the message is clear: Dubai is investing in more than just education—it is investing in its future.
