Al Dhafra Private School Abu Dhabi was established in 1983 and offers the American Curriculum for students from KG 1 to Grade 12. The campus is located in the Mohammed bin Zayed City of Abu Dhabi.

English is the instructional medium at Al Dhafra Private School for all courses except Islamic Studies, Arabic and UAE Social Studies, which are taught in Arabic as per the guidelines of the Ministry of Education, UAE.

The curriculum at the kindergarten, primary stage, intermediate level, and secondary stage prepares the foundation for students to attend the IGCSE exams at the end of Grade 10/11 administered by Cambridge University (UK).

Grade 12 students have the opportunity to sit for AS level and A-levels. Students of Grade 11 attend the SAT 1 and Grade 12 students sit for TOEFL and SAT 2 as well. Arabic and Islamic studies are obligatory for all students.

The school provides spacious state-of-the-art facilities for the support and enhancement of learning. Students have access to seven laboratories for practical learning. The 5 ICT laboratories help students to develop the skills for the 21st century. Classrooms are integrated with interactive whiteboards. Facilities for art and music are also available at Al Dhafra Private School Abu Dhabi. The comprehensive roof space has been transformed into an efficient sports facility. Sports facilities include Olympic sized swimming pool, Splash pool for kindergarteners, gymnasium and a large covered area for sports activities. There are two dedicated well-resourced libraries with extensive learning resources for junior and senior students.
