Ajman Academy was established in 2012 by the Royal Family of Ajman. Strategically located on Sheikh Ammar Bin Humaid Road (E311), Ajman, the school offers convenient access from nearby emirates, including Sharjah (15 minutes), Mirdiff (20 minutes), Dubai Silicon Oasis (35 minutes), and Ras Al Khaimah (25 minutes).

Spread across a purpose-built campus of 645,840 square feet, Ajman Academy is the largest school in Ajman. The school currently educates approximately 1,000 students representing more than 50 nationalities, creating a diverse and inclusive learning environment.

Curriculum

Ajman Academy offers a continuous learning pathway that integrates both the International Baccalaureate (IB) and British curriculum frameworks.

Pre-KG to Grade 5: IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) – Authorized since 2014

Grades 6 to 8: IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) – Authorized since 2021

Grades 9 to 12: IGCSE, BTEC, and AS/A Levels (British Curriculum)

The school is co-educational until Grade 5. From Grade 6 onwards, boys and girls are taught in separate sections within dedicated secondary facilities, allowing for more focused and personalized learning environments.

English is the primary language of instruction, supported by Arabic, Islamic Studies, and UAE Social Studies in line with Ministry of Education requirements.

Fees are payable in four installments; an initial deposit followed by three termly installments.

Additional Fees

Admission Fee

A fee of 500 is payable for each applicant; this must be paid before the assessment and shall be deducted later from the school fees.

Admission fee is not refundable in case the student does not join the school

Advance Payment

An 5,000 advance payment must be paid on acceptance to the school, of which 500 is
non-refundable in case of withdrawal.
This sum will be deducted from the annual tuition fee.

Transportation Fee:

Non Payment of Fees

Failure to pay school fees may result in a loss of the student’s place in the school, withholding of
their school reports, transfer certificates and/or examination results, as well as, temporary suspension from school.

Tuition Refund Policy

All students withdrawing from the school must submit a notification in writing (providing 30 days
notice) to the Admissions Office.

The application fee remains non-refundable, while tuition and transportation fee refunds follow the
Ministry of Education Bylaws for Private Education. If a student withdraws or leaves school for any
The refunds will be processed as follows and returned to the original payee.

If a student attends school for less than two weeks of the term, one months’ fees are payable.
If a student attends school for more than two weeks but less than one month, two months’ fees are
payable.
If a student attends school for more than one month, one full term fees are payable.
The refund policy applies to each term of the academic year.

The value of one months’ fees is calculated by dividing the total costs for the school year by 10.
Parents are required to fill in the designated refund form and provide it along with the necessary documents for the School Accounts Office. Refunds to the original payee will be processed by cheque within 10 working days.

Re-Enrolments

To secure places for the following academic year, parents will be asked to pay a set re-enrolment advance payment of which 5000. All re-enrollment advances paid will be adjustable against first term fees.

Please note, parents with an outstanding fee balance, will not be able to re-enrol their children for the subsequent academic year.

Ajman Academy invites applications from students of all nationalities and from any curriculum who can demonstrate that they can successfully access our curriculum and will provide a positive contribution to our School. To begin with, complete the Application Form and submit the completed application form and supported documents listed on the website, along with the AED 500 application fee, to the Ajman Academy Admissions Office.

When all of the requisite paperwork and the Application Fee have been received, you will be contacted by the Admissions office to arrange an Assessment Test. The school will then invite those
applicants who are resident in the United Arab Emirates to the Admissions Office, where they will
undertake the Assessment Test and attend an interview (if required).

Applicants will only be invited for assessment tests where there are places available in the year group
for which they are applying.

Those applicants residing outside of the United Arab Emirates will also be invited to visit the
Admissions Office, however, if applicants are unable to visit the UAE prior to the intended start date, the school will arrange a test in the resident country. They also arrange interviews via the Internet.

Following the Assessment Test and interview, the result will be received within 5 – 7 days; the outcome will be either an offer of a guaranteed place, a conditional offer, a waiting list, a re-assessment or not accepted.
