Abu Dhabi University was established in 2003 and has campuses in Dubai, Al Ain, and Al Dhafra. The Abu Dhabi campus was opened in 2006 and is located in Khalifa City. The university offers a full range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs.

The world-class learning environment at Abu Dhabi University is supported by state-of-the-art educational facilities and modern technology with 75 classrooms, 61 laboratories, food outlets, coffee shops, female and male dormitories, and faculty housing. The extensive sports facilities include basketball, tennis and volleyball courts, football pitches, and cricket fields.

The College of Arts and Sciences offers a range of unique undergraduate and postgraduate level programs in the fields of environment, health, media, and education. The undergraduate programs include a Bachelor of Arts degree in English, Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication (English) and Bachelor of Mass Communications (Arabic). Postgraduate programs offered include the Master of Education in Educational Leadership, Master of Science in Special Education, and Professional Diploma in Teaching (Arabic and English).

The College of Business offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs that will help build and enhance management, business, and leadership career. The undergraduate programs include a Bachelor of Business Administration with a specialization in Accounting, Business Analytics, Business Sustainability, Digital Marketing Communications, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Finance, Human Resources Management, International Business, and Management. The postgraduate programs offered are Doctorate of Business Administration, Master of Business Administration with specialization in Aviation Management, Finance, Human Resource Management, Insurance and Risk Management, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Organizational Excellence and Quality Management, Project Management, Strategic Management, Tourism and Event Management, Master of Human Resources Management and Master of Strategic Leadership.

The College of Engineering offers a wide range of engineering and technology courses at undergraduate and postgraduate level. The undergraduate programs include Bachelors of Architecture, Bachelor of Science degree in Aviation, Biomedical, Chemical, Civil, Computer, Cybersecurity, Mechanical, Software, Electrical, and Industrial Engineering; Information Technology, Interior Design, and Bachelor of Urban Planning. The postgraduate programs offered are Master of Engineering in Electrical and Computer Engineering, and Management; Master of Project Management; Master of Science in Civil Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering, and Sustainable Architecture.

The College of Health and Science programs include BSc in Biomedical Sciences, Environmental Health and Safety, Human Nutrition and Dietetics, Molecular and Medical Genetics and Public Health.

The College of Law provides a degree in Bachelor of Law, and a Masters Degree in Private law and Public law.

Academic Programs for Military Colleges at Abu Dhabi University offers Bachelor in Military Sciences and Administration, Bachelor of Arts in Persian Language, Bachelor of Military Sciences and Specialized Management, Master of Human Resources Management and Master of International Relations.
