Abu Dhabi Grammar School is a co-educational international institution following the Canadian curriculum for students from Kindergarten to Grade 12. The school is located in the Tourist Club area of Abu Dhabi.

Abu Dhabi Grammar School follows the guidelines of the Nova Scotia Department of Education as well as the UAE Ministry of Education. Students from pre-school to 12th grade from over 50 different nationalities will be offered an enriching and challenging integrated program. The curriculum from KG to grade 12 is taught in English, with the exception of French, Arabic, and Islamic for Muslim students. Abu Dhabi Grammar School students come from a very diverse ethnic background.

AGS offers students a world-class education that is recognized worldwide. Graduates leave the school with a High School Diploma issued by the Nova Scotia Education Department and the Early Childhood Development. In coordination with the UAE Ministry of Education, Abu Dhabi Grammar School follows the Nova Scotia curriculum. The program is accredited by the province of Nova Scotia in Canada. The program is delivered in English and complies with the same requirements as in Nova Scotia Public Schools. The AGS Academic Program will result in a Diploma from the Nova Scotia province.

Elementary classes at the Abu Dhabi Grammar School are from KG 2 to Grade 6 and the subjects are delivered by highly qualified teachers which include English Language Arts, Mathematics, Social Studies, and Science along with the integration of Visual Arts throughout the curriculum. Specialist teachers deliver Arabic, Islamic studies, French language, and Physical Education. French is a Grade 4 to Grade 9 compulsory program. Junior classes at AGS are from Grade 7 to Grade 9 and subjects include English Language Arts, Physical Education, French Language, Arabic, Maths, Technology Education, Islamic studies, Integrated Science, Music, Arts, and Social Studies. The High School Graduation Diploma of Nova Scotia is awarded to students with a minimum of 18 credits from grade 10 to grade 12.

Sporting activities at AGS include football, rugby, basketball, touch rugby, volleyball, swimming, badminton and more. Visual Arts include Drawing, color, Art and Culture, and Three Dimensional Art. Communication and Technology courses include Digital illustration and imaging, Product and Packaging, Typography and Graphic Design.

To apply to Abu Dhabi Grammar School (Canada), students must complete and submit the application form along with the required documents. Then the application will be processed and evaluated by the admissions team.

Based on the documents submitted, as well as available seats in the grade level, the student may be selected to move on to the Interview & Assessment stage. The admissions team will arrange the assessment and interview dates. Applicants will be interviewed and assessed according to their age, and grade level, that corresponds with the school’s requirements.

Successful applicants will receive a phone call of acceptance, inviting them to register at the school.
